Jordan Kirkness is an arbitrator, mediator, and Vice-Chair at the Ontario Labour Relations Board. He is experienced, pragmatic, fair and methodical. 

Jordan became interested in labour law while serving as a union steward for the musicians of the Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra. He obtained his law degree from Dalhousie University and was called to the bar in Ontario and British Columbia. Jordan practiced labour and employment law for 15 years at prominent law firms where he served as a partner and practice group chair.

As a lawyer, Jordan had a broad labour and employment practice. Jordan gained extensive experience in both public and private sectors, including union and non-union workplaces. Jordan regularly appeared before arbitrators, tribunals, and courts, and engaged in collective bargaining. Jordan completed the Osgoode Certificate in Pension Law in 2018 and often advised pension and benefits committees.   

In 2025, Jordan left the practice of law and accepted an appointment with the Ontario Labour Relations Board. Jordan continues to serve as a Vice-Chair and has established a private practice as an arbitrator and mediator.
